“Never, never, ever believe Israeli figures. I’ve been in the Government too long to know that the Israelis are patent liars. In their intelligence community, in their propaganda community certainly, and in their leadership – they are inveterate liars. Let me say that again – they are liars. So you can’t believe anything that comes out of Jerusalem – it’s all propaganda.”

As part of the launch of his new media platform, named Zeteo, the former MSNBC reporter Mehdi Hasan has produced a video debunking Israeli lies about Gaza and October 7:

While it is true that atrocities were committed, this testimony by an Israeli woman puts into question the common narrative of the events on October 7:

Hamas fighter: “Don’t worry, I’m a Muslim. We will not hurt you.”

And even Israel‘s Channel 13 has refuted some of the lies being spread by the military:

The ‘beheaded babies’ canard was even repeated by US President Joe Biden:

Another fabrication is that of mass rapes by Hamas fighters:

An investigative report of the accusations of sexual violence by Arun Gupta has recenty been published by Yes! Magazine. The magazine states that after the October 7 attacks “rumours began circulating that Israeli women were experiencing horrific mass rape and sexual violence. Months later, a position paper by Physicians for Human Rights Israel and a New York Times investigation convinced many observers that Hamas used rape as a weapon of war. But an investigation by YES! examining both reports, other media investigations, hundreds of news articles, interviews with Israeli sources, and photo and video evidence reveals a shocking conclusion: There is no evidence mass rape occurred.

The New YorkerNew York TimesAssociated Press, and The Nation treat PHRI’s paper as the gold standard for proof of Hamas’ rape and sexual violence. But the paper is shockingly thin. It lacks original reporting and is based on media reports that are dubious at best with no corroboration—no forensic evidence, no survivor testimony, no video evidence.“

As mentioned in the video above, there was a major controversy regarding one of the writers of the now infamous New York Times article alleging widespread sexual violence by Hamas. It turns out that Anat Schwartz previously served in the Israeli military’s intelligence service. And she also liked a tweet which called for the Gaza Strip to be turned into a “slaughterhouse”:

Another revelation is the fact that the IDF killed Israeli citizens when responding to the October 7 attacks, in accordance with the ‘Hannibal Directive’:

According to Ronen Bergman and Yoav Zitun, two journalists with extensive sources inside Israel’s military and intelligence establisment, around 70 vehicles driven by Hamas fighters were hit by helicopter gunships, drones or tanks. Many of these cars contained Israeli captives. In their article, published by the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, they state that the IDF instructed their fighting units to stop “at any cost” the Hamas operatives attempting to return to Gaza with hostages.

It is clear that Israel has used its false narrative of the events of October 7 to justify its onslaught on Gaza. And the Western media, with a few notable exceptions, repeated these lies and is therefore complicit in the murder of up to 40,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
